Bone & Sinus Grafting
Building a Strong Foundation for Your Smile
Successful dental implants require a solid foundation of healthy jawbone. If you have experienced tooth loss, gum disease, or trauma, your jawbone may have receded or thinned over time. At The Periodontal Implant Institute, we use advanced grafting techniques to restore bone volume, ensuring your implants are stable, functional, and long-lasting.

Why Is Grafting Necessary?
When a tooth is lost, the surrounding bone no longer receives the stimulation it needs and begins to naturally resorbs (shrink). Bone grafting replaces this missing tissue, creating the height and width necessary to support a dental implant. Some common grafting procedures Include:

Socket Preservation
Performed immediately following a tooth extraction, this procedure fills the empty socket with bone material to prevent the surrounding ridge from collapsing. This protects the site for a future implant.

Sinus Augmentation
The upper back jaw is often the most difficult area to place implants due to insufficient bone and the proximity of the sinus cavity. A sinus lift gently elevates the sinus floor and adds bone mass, creating enough space for secure implant placement.

Ridge Augmentation
If the jaw ridge has become too narrow or shallow, we can "rebuild" the bone to its original height and width. This not only supports implants but also restores the natural contour of your jaw and face.
Advanced Technology & Comfort
Because Dr. Carpio holds a Ph.D. in Bone Biology and Dr. Waleed specializes in minimally invasive surgery, our approach is backed by deep scientific expertise.
Biocompatible Materials
We use a variety of safe, highly effective bone minerals and growth factors that naturally integrate with your existing bone.
IV Sedation
We prioritize your peace of mind. For more complex grafting procedures, we offer sedation options to ensure you are completely relaxed.
Precision Planning
Using 3D digital imaging (CBCT), we map your bone structure with sub-millimeter accuracy before we even begin.
